Respobio Journal: Postharvest Technology and Food Biotechnology is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research and review articles on postharvest technology and food biotechnology, with a strong emphasis on Indonesian foods and comparable regions. It covers the full food chain—from harvesting, processing, biotechnology, packaging, distribution, marketing, to consumption—including topics such as functional properties, microbiology, chemistry, and sensory aspects of contemporary foods. The journal is published twice a year (May and November) by the Research Group for Postharvest Technology and Biotechnology (Respobio) on behalf of Hasanuddin University, accepts only original manuscripts not under consideration elsewhere, and applies a single-blind peer-review process with final decisions made by the Editorial Board based on reviewers’ recommendations.

Respobio Journal: Postharvest Technology and Food Biotechnology is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes research and review articles on postharvest and biotechnology in food with a special emphasis on harvesting, processing, biotechnology, packaging, distribution, marketing and consumption phases, particularly in Indonesian foods, as well as other regions that have similar or relevant to Indonesian food. The topics of the articles may include, but are not limited to, the functional, microbiology, chemistry, and sensory aspects of contemporary foods.

History

Respobio journal began its first publication on November 19 2025. This journal used English. Meanwhile, the implementation of the policy listed in the publication ethics and author guidelines began in volume 1 of issue 1 in 2025. For further information can be seen here.
