Archiving

Purpose
SALAGA Journal ensures long‑term digital preservation of its published content so that the scholarly record remains accessible even in the event of technical failure or journal discontinuation.

Preservation Service
The journal uses the  PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which deposits content using LOCKSS technology as a dark archive. Content becomes publicly accessible only after a trigger event (e.g., the journal ceases publication or the content is no longer available on the original site).

Scope
All published articles (Version of Record) and issue‑level metadata are deposited. Deposits occur automatically after each issue is published.

Important
PKP PN is for preservation, not for routine backups of the OJS site. Regular local backups should be performed separately by the journal’s administrators.
