SALAGA Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Hasanuddin University. The journal publishes original research articles and review articles in the field of appropriate technology for agricultural production and processing.

SALAGA Journal aims to provide a scientific forum for academics, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders to disseminate, discuss, and develop research findings, technological innovations, and practical solutions related to agriculture production, post-harvest handling, agricultural processing, and supporting technologies.

Appropriate technology in the context of this journal refers to tools, equipment, systems, methods, and practices that are technically feasible, economically affordable, environmentally sound, socially acceptable, and suitable for local resources, regional conditions, and farmer needs. The journal particularly encourages studies that contribute to improving productivity, efficiency, sustainability, and livelihood in agricultural systems.

The journal welcomes manuscripts related to agricultural engineering, post-harvest technology, agricultural mechanization, renewable energy and electrification, automation and control systems, Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing and GIS, agricultural product processing, and other technologies that support sustainable agricultural production and processing.
